Getting past the “who-are-you-and-why-are-you-in-my-house” thing, I think Jelly is a great idea. It’s a great way for people to work, network and collaborate on lots of different ideas with like-minded people. The article mentions that Jelly phenomenon is growing across America, and
soon to arrive in the UK.

I’ve just seen the BBC’s beta version of the new homepage, and I have to say, I don’t find it particularly impressive. It seems to try and embrace the Web 2.0ish-ness, without any of the clean lines or elegant design. And it uses over-the-top chunky font sizes that make it appear to be treating me like a preschooler. Which I’m not.

However, there is one part of this new design I absolutely love. It’s the small clock in the top-right hand corner that ticks away with its little inertia-calculated wobble. It’s amazing! It almost redeems the rest of the ugliness. Almost.
